About me

Home is Amsterdam where I live with my husband, son & three grown-up step kids.

I cherish living close to my ‘old’ friends & family after travelling & working/living in Australia, Southern Africa, Brussels and London for twenty years. My motivation to experience ‘elsewhere’ stem from my international upbringing in the USA/Canada & Curacao. Life goes full circle somehow & it’s good to be back home!

I have an inate curiosity to understand different people/cultures. One of the best decisions of my life was, after a burn-out, to do a ‘late in life’ post graduate degree in psychology & embark on a professional career in the field of human interaction and change. My life is enriched by the deep connection, shared vulnerability and  trust this work brings.

Year round open water swimming is ‘my thing’.   I love early morning swims, specifically in winter when it’s quiet & magical. Over the years I have swam in many places & the pictures on this website depict some of my favorite swimming spots.
