My Travels

My travels shaped my outlook on life & provides an ‘out of the box’ dimension to my work.

I have solo travelled/worked for 6 years in Africa, Asia and Australia. Due to the geographical distance (pre-mobile phones & internet) this was a formative experience; fully immerged in foreign cultures without references to the environment I grew up in. I still enjoy some lasting friendships I formed along the way.

To fund my travels I always had to work locallly. I started off with casual work & a few marketing assignments. Thankfully I managed more adventurous jobs later on; I worked in Londolozi game reserve in South Africa. This meant I was lucky enough to live in the African bush for 6 months. After that I obtained my white water river guide license with the Austrian Army and worked as a raft guide on rivers in Austria & Nepal for two years.
