My Travels

After uniiversity I solo travelled/worked in Africa, Asia and Australia for 6 years.

This was an adventurous & formative experience; one way ticket to where-ever, solo, finding employment there & then, pre mobile phones & internet and, crucially, no expat support system. This ‘time-out’ from convention has shaped my outlook on life and provides an often helpful reframe in my current work.

To fund my travels I worked locallly; casual work & marketing assignments. Thankfully, I managed more adventurous jobs later on working in Londolozi game reserve South Africa for 6 months & as a licensed white water river guide rafting in Austria & Nepal for 2 years.
